Meet the Maker

Hi, I’m Paul — the guy behind The Urban Plank, professional sawdust manufacturer and part-time adult.
I didn’t set out to become a woodworker. Honestly, I just wanted a desk. A simple, clean, modern desk that didn’t wobble like a baby giraffe or cost more than my first car. Apparently, that was asking too much of the furniture world… so I built my own.

Was it perfect? Absolutely not. Did it spark an immediate, borderline-unhealthy obsession with woodworking? Yes. Yes it did.

Since then, I’ve upgraded from “guy with a problem to solve” to “guy who actually knows which end of a board is which.” And now I spend my days crafting charcuterie boards, custom pieces, engraved gifts, and whatever else people dream up — all with the noble mission of making wood look amazing while keeping my fingers attached.

Every product from The Urban Plank is built by hand, infused with love, passion, and probably a little frustration, but in that good, artisanal way.
